BeMom – A vision was born out of necessity

My eldest son Sascha was born in the year 2000.
What should have been one of the best times of my life was made difficult by something seemingly trivial: poorly fitting nursing bras.

Breast engorgement. Pain. Pressure sores.
And the feeling that nobody really took this issue seriously.

Out of this necessity a vision was born.
And that's how BeMom came about – all about breastfeeding and babywearing .

I started very small in 2001.
With a clear thought:
The mother is the focus.

For it is she who carries, nourishes, and accompanies a newborn with every fiber of her being.

In 2003, I opened my first shop on Lerchenfelderstrasse in Vienna's 8th district. Back then, babywearing was still unusual – my mother-in-law asked in horror where the stroller was. But with three dogs, a baby carrier was simply more practical – and more natural for me.

BeMom grew.
And with BeMom, my expectations grew.

The centerpiece: nursing bras in every size

My main focus was – and still is – on perfectly fitting nursing bras.

Not just a few standard sizes.
Not "S, M, L".

But a true fit.
From Cup A to Cup L.

Because breastfeeding is supposed to mean closeness –
no pain.

A well-fitting nursing bra can prevent milk engorgement, relieve the body and give the mother a feeling of security and well-being.

My goal is absolute well-being during breastfeeding .

In addition, there were trousers that could withstand any situation – during pregnancy and afterwards, without looking like typical maternity wear.

My guiding principle has always been:
Quality over quantity.

In 2005, BeMom moved to the 9th district of Vienna with an expanded product range.

My daughter was born prematurely in 2007 – 1.8 kilos, 39 centimeters long. An intense time. A challenge. And once again, the experience of how important high-quality, natural materials are.

BeMom was never just a business.
It's from a mother for mothers.

With special attention also to those people who accompany and support mothers:
Lactation consultants. Midwives. Support professionals.
