ComfortFit® suction nozzles - XL (36 mm)
The non-slip breast shields fit gently and snugly against the breast. The soft, purple rim makes pumping even more comfortable.
The original Lansinoh® standard size (25 mm) breast shields fit the Lansinoh® manual breast pump, the compact electric breast pump, and the 2-in-1 double electric breast pump. They are not compatible with the portable double breast pump or the portable breast pump. To make pumping as comfortable as possible, Lansinoh ComfortFit® breast shields have an extra-soft rim. This special rim also helps create a seal, ensuring the shield fits snugly against the breast and making pumping even easier. Original Lansinoh® replacement parts have been thoroughly tested and can be safely cleaned in boiling water, a steam sterilizer, or microwave sterilization bags.
Finding the right suction attachment – The size guide:
Every breast is different. The size of the breast shield you need depends on the elasticity of your breast tissue and the size of your nipple. Choosing the right breast shield size is essential for a comfortable fit and effortless pumping. You can easily determine the correct size of our ComfortFit® breast shield yourself using our instructions:
Measure your nipple!
You can use cent and euro coins for this: Hold them in front of your nipple, and you can quickly determine which coin is approximately the same size. Important: Measure only the nipple, not the areola surrounding it! If you're having trouble distinguishing between them, you can gently stimulate your nipple. This will make the difference clearer.
Using the right coin, the correct size of the suction attachment can be easily determined.
Lansinoh offers suction heads in 5 sizes:
1 cent: Size S (21 mm)
10 cents: Standard (25 mm)
1 Euro: Size M (28 mm)
2 Euro: Size L (30.5 mm)
> 2 Euro: Size XL (36 mm)
Try out the essay!
Place the identified suction cup on your breast. You can recognize the correct one by this:
a) Your nipple sits exactly in the middle of the attachment and has enough room to move freely.
b) The areola is not pulled in too strongly.
c) Pumping works well and your breast feels empty afterwards.
If you are not getting enough breast milk when pumping, you should try a different size.
You can find our detailed size guide video here.
It's important to regularly check the fit of the breast shield, as breast tissue elasticity and nipple size can change. Your midwife or lactation consultant can provide further information.
