Lansinoh® breast milk storage bags are specially designed for the safe and space-saving storage of breast milk in the refrigerator and freezer. Made from food-grade polyethylene, these durable bags are pre-sterilized and hygienically sealed. The double zip closure and sturdy seams protect the breast milk. The click closure allows you to feel and hear that the bag is securely closed. This allows the bags to be frozen flat, saving space, and thawed more quickly. Each Lansinoh® breast milk storage bag can hold up to 180 ml of breast milk. The printed scale helps you determine the fill level. The convenient labeling area is located outside the filling zone to prevent accidental punctures from sharp pens. Mothers can easily and quickly pump directly into the Lansinoh® breast milk storage bag using any Lansinoh® breast pump – ensuring not a single precious drop of breast milk is wasted (pump into bag). Adapters for other pumps are available separately. The practical dispenser pack with 25 pre-sterilised bags makes it easy to remove individual breast milk bags.

Here's how filling and freezing works:

1. Tear off the hygienic safety seal on the top of the bag and carefully open the double zip closure by pulling it apart. Turn the flaps inside out to prevent contamination. Lansinoh® breast milk storage bags are pre-sterilised and do not need to be rinsed before use.
   
2. Fill the breast milk bag. Lansinoh® breast milk bags can be attached directly to any Lansinoh® breast pump.
   
3. Before sealing the bag, read the amount of breast milk using the printed scale and enter it in the designated labeling field after sealing. The printed scale serves as a guideline. Due to production processes, the indicated fill quantity may differ slightly from the actual amount dispensed, particularly in the lower range of the scale.
   
4. Before sealing, remove the air from the breast milk bag: Use your middle and index fingers like scissors and push the air above the liquid level towards the closure. Seal the bag by firmly squeezing the double zip closure.
   
5. Lansinoh® breast milk storage bags should ideally be frozen lying down. This increases the surface area, allowing for faster freezing and gentler thawing without the need for heat. This helps to better preserve important antibodies and vitamins.
   
6. To prevent ice crystals from damaging the breast milk bags, it is recommended to place a paper towel between two bags or between the bags and the wall of the freezer.

Within 24 hours, milk from several pumping sessions can be collected in a breast milk storage bag. Please store already pumped milk in the refrigerator.*

How long does freshly pumped breast milk keep?
At room temperature (approx. 21 °C): 6 to 8 hours
In the refrigerator (approx. 4 °C)*: 3 days
In the freezer (approx. -17 °C and colder): up to 6 months

How long does thawed, unheated breast milk keep?
At room temperature (approx. 21 °C): 3 hours
In the refrigerator* (approx. 4 °C): unopened 24 hours; opened max. 12 hours

Here's how to thaw and warm breast milk in the Lansinoh® breast milk bag:
To preserve the valuable nutrients in breast milk, thawing should be done as gently as possible in the refrigerator or at room temperature. In urgent cases, expressed breast milk can also be thawed in a water bath (max. 37°C). Please store thawed milk in the refrigerator until ready to use. * Do not feed any leftover warmed breast milk. Therefore, when filling the bag, be careful not to fill it with more milk than your baby will actually drink. In the rare event that ice crystals have damaged the bag (especially in freezers that do not reach deep freezing), it is recommended that you always place the breast milk bag in a clean bowl to thaw, so that any milk that may leak out can be collected and used.

Danger:
Do not use boiling water or a microwave to heat the milk! This destroys valuable nutrients.

Tip:
If the breast milk forms separate layers in the bag, simply mix the layers by gently swirling the bag. Thawed milk sometimes changes its taste. Therefore, older breast milk should be used first; it can also be mixed with recently expressed milk.

* Please do not store breast milk in the refrigerator door, it is not cold enough there.
